Hello, again!

Totally forgot about this blog, obviously!! It's been busy!

I quit CarMax (cheers!!!!!) -- heading back into the veterinary field and I am so excited. It's where I belong.

Dogs are all doing well - still trying to find a home for Gwen (the crazy bird dog...) We took in three abandoned kittens recently and have been getting them up and healthy. They're adorable. All have medium-long hair...one black male, one black female, and one grey female. Still need homes for the little black kitties if anyone wants one! Just started them on a soaked dry food last night and they love it. Of course, they'll be well socialized with dogs by the time they leave here, and they're getting better with our cat. Curious little things! The male (nicknamed "Cowboy" because of how he walks) is the smallest and has the biggest attitude. He reminds me of Toulouse (the orange kitten) off Aristocats...trying to act like a big tough alley cat, but so full of love!

Robby and I have been busy with the DJ business. I went out this week with Sean and we found a new cargo trailer to haul everything in. It matches my truck and hauls beautifully! I forgot how much fun it was to tow a trailer around, lol. We have a 6-hour wedding dinner and reception tonight...going on until midnight - ugh! I think I might need a nap beforehand!

We started officially trying to get pregnant last month (yay for us!) Have a new blog set up (http://babyjakola.blogspot.com/) have fun following our journey!

Our roof and siding should be replaced this week after those crazy hail storms last month. They're coming over tomorrow so we can pick out the shingles. We're probably going to upgrade to 3o or 40 year impact-resistant shingles. Still have to call insurance, heard we may get a discount, always worth a shot. But the upgrade cost is minimal compared to having damage again and having to pay our deductible.

I was wondering when you would get around to updated this blog :o)

I love your description of "Cowboy!" I need to come visit them before they all go to their new homes & no I don't want one.

Love,
mom
