Thursday

So...we've had Lexi for a few days now. She is starting to fit in very nicely. Drew still doesn't like her, but we're working on the toy issue. I've already started working on her obedience. We've started watch me, sit, down, come with a front sit, and choose to heel. Sounds like a lot - but she was already fairly reliable on sit/down when we got her, so I'm just fine-tuning those two commands. I decided to name her Twister Passport to Paradise. She gets spayed on Wednesday and then next month, when she turns 6 months old, I'll send in her ILP papers. Initially she was whining a lot when she was in her crate, but she's settling down, didn't whine at all last night at bedtime. She's a very loving dog -- tries to jump up and give kisses, crawls all over us, and today after our training session I let her lay in my lap for awhile -- she just kind of rolled over on her back and relaxed. We gave her a bath yesterday. She wasn't crazy about that, and especially hated the dryer. Robby held her while I did her nails, too.

Had my interview at Moore Norman Tech this afternoon, too. I think it went well, but I didn't receive any kind of reaction from the two ladies who interviewed me. Nothing good, nothing bad -- they said I would know something this time next week. Let's hope! Sounds like something I would enjoy, and there is room for advancement.
Meanwhile...back at NRHA...(lol) Dennis (the COO) told me that I would be moving into his office next week and he would be moving into my little cubicle. Talk about shocking! He said it'd be for a couple months, ooook.
